| How to reset a forgotten PIN |
| If your patron
record contains a valid email address, you can reset
your patron account PIN using these
instructions. NOTE: If you attempt to reset your PIN and do not have a valid email address in your patron account, you will receive this message: A valid email address is required to complete this request. Please contact your librarian for assistance. If this is the case, please call the Library's Main Desk at 332-1428 for assistance. Go to the Library’s Online Catalog. You can do this at any catalog computer at the Library, or online at: www.rpl.lib.nh.us. Just click the Catalog link on the top of the left menu. Click on My Account: ![]() Click on the
button. You'll see a form like the one below:![]() Enter your Last Name and Library barcode. (From the back of your library card. It begins with 22100…) Click on the Submit button. If your information is correct, and you have an email address in your patron record, you will see this messages: "A message has been sent to the email address we have on record for you. Please follow the instructions in that message to reset your PIN. If you do not receive an email, please contact your librarian for assistance." You will receive an email from the Library with the subject "Request to reset your library PIN." Please read the PIN "strength" requirements. Then click on the link provided in the email. You will be brought to a form like the one below: ![]() Enter your Last Name and Library barcode. (From the back of your library card. It begins with 22100…) Enter your new PIN. Enter your new PIN again. Click on the Submit button. You'll see the following: ![]() Click the Start Over button. This returns you to the catalog. Click on My Account and log in by entering your Last Name, Barcode, and newly created PIN. |
