 How to Place a Hold in the RPL Online Catalog


1. From the catalog main page, choose ‘Search the Catalog.’


 

2. Choose your method of search. This search is by ‘Title.’


 

3. Enter your search in the text box, then click the ‘Submit Search’ button.
This search is for the title ‘War and Peace.’


 

4. The results of this search show two titles starting with the words ‘war and peace.’
This search is for the first title.


 

5. Clicking on the first title (in step 4) shows us that there are 2 copies
with the title ‘War and Peace.’ 1 book and 1 video recording.
This search is for the book.

 


 

6. Clicking on the first title (in step 5, the book) we are shown the book’s record.
The book is in located in Fiction, the Call # is FIC Tolstoy, L, and the book’s Status
shows a Due Date. To place a hold on this book, click on the "Place Hold" button.


 

7. Enter your patron information. Name, barcode, and PIN.
If you don’t yet have a PIN, skip this box and click the ‘Submit’ button.
You will be prompted to create a PIN. If you've forgotten your PIN,
call us at 603.332.1428 for assistance.


 

8. You will see a screen like the one below when your hold is successful.
You’ll be called when your item is ready for you to pick up.
