January/February 2013 Art Exhibit
Oil Paintings by
Vanessa Marie Issa

A new exhibit of artwork by local artist, Vanessa Marie Issa, is on display at the Rochester Public Library.  Her exhibit of oil paintings features large landscapes as well as close-ups of nature.

Issa grew up in Lee, NH and currently resides in Berwick, Me.  She says that living in scenic, rural areas of New Hampshire and Maine has served as inspiration for the themes of nature running through her paintings.  She grew up in a family of artists and is now raising a few of her own young, creative-minded individuals.

Although Issa started painting as a young adult, it wasn’t until this past year that she discovered her own deep joy and passion for painting.  She says this discovery resulted from a dramatic shift away from a stressful living situation into a peaceful, loving environment.  Issa credits that change with affording her the ability to feel the freedom to reflect, dream and create.  Vanessa says that she is thrilled and honored to be able to display her art and share with the community the beauty she sees in
local, picturesque New Hampshire and Maine.

Vanessa Marie Issa’s paintings will be on display on the first floor of the Rochester Public Library through the end of February.
