August 2019 - Nicholas Gagnon

The Rochester Public Library is pleased to present the artwork of Nicholas Gagnon during the month of August.

Gagnon remembers shooting his first photograph at the age of 8, from the Sugar Hill overlook on the Kancamagus highway. Of his work, Gagnon writes:

Growing up in New England, I have been inspired by the environment around me, from the seacoast to the mountains and the changing seasons. I enjoy exploring and sharing the sights I see on my adventures. I can often be found camping and hiking in the White Mountains or cycling through the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

My photographs have been published in the Appalachian Mountain Club Outdoors Magazine, Best Read Guide and online as a web article for the Appalachian Mountain Club.

The Rochester Public Library is located at 65 South Main Street. Call 332-1428 or visit www.rpl.lib.nh.us for more information.
