August 2023 - Suzanne Jolin

The Rochester Public Library is pleased to present the artwork of Suzanne Jolin during the month of August.

Suzanne Jolin is a lifelong New Hampshire resident and self-taught artist. Her interest in art began at a young age by copying coloring books to eventually drawing anything that caught her eye. She started drawing with pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal and later developed a love for painting. She is inspired by her love for her family and the beauty of the great outdoors.

She says “the 4 seasons each have their own beauty. In the past 15 years I’ve gone from drawing to painting in color with the use of acrylics. I have fine-tuned my talent by taking classes at artstream and furthered my creativity in painting with Ruth Caron who is the owner of the Pottery Paddock. Now I continue to paint on my own and continue to learn new techniques and broaden my skills.”
